What a great episode last night. I love how the numbers were everywhere and that they even mentioned the Black Rock.

I also thought that it was interesting that Sayid helped Desomnd. All the fans can recall that Sayid is looking for a lost love as well.

So this season has stood up to its hype so far. But lets be Honest how does Ben get off the island? I like how we are finding out about the Oceanic 6 but I must admit I have my doubts that he made it for the parade and photo ops when he got back to the states.

I have heard a few theories about who Jacob is being played by and it's none another than Christian Sheppard. It's a good theory and I think that Jacob took on Christians body once it fell from the plane crash.

Remember that there was no body in the casket when Jack found it.

That is why I also believe that Jacob said to Locke, "Help Me." I think it my have been both Jacob and C. Sheppard asking for his help since Locke has a special bond with the island.

WWE has finally rediscovered the shock quality that it use to have. John Cena came out and was the 30th man in the ring for the 2008 Royal Rumble.

He ended up winning the match by eliminating Triple H! I still can't believe that this happened. I am sure that NO ONE new that this was coming. All of us that watched it last night were absolutely shocked that it happened and that he ended up winning the rumble.

It has been quite sometime since Vince and his family has shocked us for a PPV and tonight he finally rekindled the shock value by bringing back one of his #1 stars in John Cena!

I was watching American Idol last night and I love how they do little stories on people that may or may not make it this year. It seems that they kinda over do it each year with those stories but anyhow.

While watching this guy he reminded me of my good friend Adam Duckworth. The guy singing is into politics and a taste for the theatrical. I can't believe that this guy made it but Simon was pleasentlly surprised and said Yes to him.

So will he make it to the top 12 or run for Mayor of Oklahoma in 2008! Either way Look out!

Travis Fryman.

In a time when Baseball is at a loss for finding good role models here is a guy that played his best and when injuries set in he did what he could and then retired at age 33. Arguably one of the best infielders of the 90's Fryman is up for the Hall of Fame vote. He has great numbers over his 12 years in the bigs and that is besides the point.

Fryman is a follower of Christ. He kept his faith strong no matter where he went. I remember one game I went to between the Tigers and the Indians that he and a couple other believers spoke before the game to let the fans know how important it is to have faith in your life.

Like I said in a time where baseball has few good people representing its sport, Fryman was not only a good player but a great person. Baseball needs more guys like Fryman.

Well this was my 200th post, the Bicentennial if you will, and I must say even though I don't get too deep into my own life on this blog I do like to post. I think it is good to have humorous posts, and posts about what you like but, if you don't know by now I like to keep the blog superficial. I believe that this world can get TOO HIGH TeCH in its forms of communication and I like to keep my friendships real. Besides it is too difficult to try and read someones emotion from an email or a wall post.

Now that the hoiday season has past and many of us have gift cards to spend, I hope that in 2008 everyone that I know will attempt to be more real in thier relationships instead of becoming more tech savy. Recently I read one of my friends blogs and he mentioned how 8 years ago we were completely consumed by the Y2K scare. Now we are so wrapped up in technology we sit leaning forward with anticipation as to what is going to come out next, that is too high priced for me to get but it will allow me to text my friends from a volcano. Here is an idea, in 2008 communicate face to face.

What a great line. I went to see I AM LEGEND last night and that movie was a let down. But the first six minutes of Dark Knight was intriguing. I was expecting a little more from it to be honest but atleast we got to see some sneak peak pictures of it after the prologue.

I think for the movie that was with it however made quite a bit of money from having the prologue in front of it. Since I am legend was a rather weak movie especially after the last third of them film.

In case many of you have wondered where I have been with my updates I have an answer for you, I have been busy working, planning, and mending.

Yup on the mend I hurt my back about 7 weeks ago or so and am still on the mend from it. I have been to the Dr, physical therapy, MRI(came back A OK) and eventually the nuerologist(just for a 2nd opinion). I have also been in prayer about this and I am gradually getting better. I would really like to be fully recovered by the holiday rush come the end of the month.

Now that that is off my chest I have done some major thinking about well ....everything. I am engaged and getting married next summer and the team may have to do without my services around the time of the playoffs. I know that I am a top of the rotation guy but the GM is going to have to find a equally effective pitcher during the penant race and eventually the championship game if we make it that far of course barring no more injuries and continual good consistant play out of everyone.

I must admit that being on the mend for almost 2 months has really been hard on me not being able to work on my technique and my four pitches: the Backspinner, Sidewinder, Knuckler, and the ever so amuzing Lolli-pop pitches. I hope that the GM will forgive me if I am not on my game at the beginning of the season due to lack of repetition of my formentioned pitches but I do play a crucial part to our team, I mean without a pitcher there is just no softball to be played. Plus I have a good feilding percentage .949 last season in one game I accounted for 11 of the 21 outs in game. Well I guess that is enough grieving ans sulking for me for one day but I wanted to let the team, the fans and my family to know my concerns for the upcoming season.

Rebuilding the 97' Marlins?

WoW! I have recently heard that the Tigers are interested in Livan Hernandez? OK Why don't the Tigers just go get everyone else who was on that 97 Marlins team.

Don't get me wrong I think that Livan Hernandez is an OK pitcher. Thats it OK. He would be the Tigers 5th starter at best and that leaves no room for any of the young arms to take over that 5th spot.

Dombrowski needs to go out and get a SOLID 3rd or 4th starter. I still think that they should make a trade for either Dontrelle Willis or Scott Kazmir if they are looking for good (still young) pitching that could keep them winning for a few more years atleast.

I must admit I constatnly look to see what the Tigers next move is. I have heard a lot of junk that they would trade Polanco for Delgado but I think that is just being thrown out there by Dombrowski to see what reaction he can get from other GMs.

This trade is rather interesting though Thames and Miller plus prospects for Dontrelle Willis and that other guy Miguel Cabera. I think with the time being now for the Tigers they need to make this trade and try to win the World Series.

Recently I was browsing through an ESPN magazine when I came across a picture of Derek Fisher, point guard for the Lakers, and this book. The article spoke about what professional athletes have as keep sakes that help them through the day, week or even life.

Derek Fisher, who is dealing with his daughters eye cancer, says he reads this daily devotional book to get centered after a rough day. "I read things in there that allow me to stay in the right place," Fisher said. He also mentioned that he refers to the Bible passages and prays after he has read the devotional of the day.

After reading this article I decided to go purchase this book since I face struggles that every man does. To be honest this was one of the best purchases of my life. It challenges my walk and stretches my faith and worries to where they should be it also talks about all of the challenges that we as men face. Sometimes it is hard for a man to read or get closer to God but this book puts those daily challenges into perspective. I would encourage any MAN out there to purchase and read this book.

Edgar is your NEW TIGER!!! The Tigers gave up Jair Jurrjens and Gorkys Hernandez to get the shortstop that they despritely needed with moving Guillen over to first base. But lets not worry that they gave up too much for Edgar. The Tigers have the BEST farm system in the entire league and another outfielder will come along. For the pitching side of it, I liked Jair but the Tigers have the potential to have great pitching prospects in the near future plus they are going to go after a starting pitcher yet this off season (besides just Rogers) so Detroit will be just fine.

I purchased the Detroit News paper today and they had a group of players that may be in a Tiger uniform next season and Edgar's name was one that poped out! I was really excited when the Red Sox signed him a while ago and now they are still paying him 3 million a year(Never gave him enough time, 1 and done come on!) anyway I think this would be awesome if the Tigs could sign him to play short. He definately has solid numbers even if his range is a touch better than Guillens. They would just have to pull off some type of trade to get him and with Dombrowski and the Braves manager former co-workers I am sure a deal will be made. Now they just need to go get some solid Relief pitching.....

StOOpid! Man the Broncos are my team and I was really excited when they got this guy but now knowing that he could be done for a the rest of this year is terrible. If he does end up violating this policy I hope that Denver cuts him and finds some other RB to fill the role well!

Once one of the most dominate teams before the All-star break, now they are fighting to get back into this thing. He looks as if he is in a daze out there. I am extremely happy the Tigers didn't get Gagne. He has a wopping 15.25 era since joining the Red Sox. In english that means he has given up tons of runs in the single innings that he pitching per game. I personally thought that out of any of the RP that he was the one to stay away from. I also have this odd feeling that when a dominate player has to change thier number ( he was 38 now wears 83) that spells bad news for him!

SS Omar Vizquel... who could be on the move this August to a ball club near you!

I could only hope that the Tigers would pick this guy up. He still has great range at the age of 40! That could definately help with the E's made by the Tiger infield and they wouldn't have any strings attached his contract is around 3mil and he becomes a free agent after the season. He would be a great addition to a playoff contending team! So go get him Tigers!!!

No trade at deadline for Tigers

Well the Tigers didn't make a trade before the NON-WAIVER trade deadline. No big deal to me. I still think that they will make a trade with the Pirates for SS Jack Wilson (owed over 17.5mil in contract yet) and a relief pitcher from them as well whether that be Chacon or Marte. The only problem with making a trade now is that the rest of the teams have the option to pick any players up since they have to go on the waiver wire for two days before the trade goes through. I still believe something will happen Dave Dombrowski is an intelligent GM and the Tigers will get better by the end of the year. Look out everybody else!

Shane Battier. Dumars likes guys who are tough and want to win (plus he and Nazr have the same salary to make for any easy trade) I also think that Battier needs a TEAM like the pistons with a winning tradition to raise his game up. Several curious text messages sent by Benoit early Sunday morning prompted concerned friends to alert Richard Hering, VP of Government Relations for WWE, Inc. Hering, in turn, spoke with Fayette County sheriffs Monday, and requested that they respond to the Benoit residence to check on him and his family.
Authorities representing the Sheriff’s Department initially had a difficult time entering Benoit’s new Fayetteville home Monday afternoon, which had been guarded by two large German Shepherds roaming freely around the property. Once authorities entered the residence, they quickly located the bodies of Benoit, Nancy and Daniel. WWE was notified of the discovery at approximately 4 p.m.
At 10 p.m. Monday night, Lt. Pope held a press conference in conjunction with Scott Ballard, the district attorney for Fayette County. The press conference officially ruled authorities’ findings as a double murder-suicide from within the home.

Unbelievable to say the least I am in shock and I am sure that more from this story will come out over time. Truly a sad day in the professional wrestling world.

Ken Griffey Jr. is one of the best Homerun hitters in baseball. I would love to see this guy end up beating out Barry Bonds for the top spot in the "most homeruns" catergory. I would really like to see him do it since We haven't seen him get any bigger over the years.

I must admit I am quite the Superhero movie buff and I like most of what I have seen so far. But these two movies are definately for the Adult comic book fan. Both of these movies are rather scary in thier own right and they both have thier share of killing throughout.

So if you are looking to see either of these movies my suggestion is extreme caution!

X-Men 3 is it the Last Stand?

Recently I rewatched the X-men triliogy and I would be really excited if they were to make another one. Watching the third one I was disappointed but not as much as I originally was.

The new director lost focus on the "phoenix" story other than that though a good enough fill of our appetites.

If they do make another film about our favorite X-heros or not they need to have the entire cast back including the Nightcrawler and please get someone else to play Colosuss. Lets not forget to add Gambit to the mix either.

Another thing was it me or did Gramer do a great job as Beast? The only thing he didn't do enough of for me was quote intellectual people or poets enough.

Slamming Sammy hit his 600th homerun last night against the team he had his most for, the Cubs(545). But while Sammy has been a great hitter of the longball how come we aren't so impressed anymore? Did he use steroids? Either way can easily route for him or Ken Griffey Jr. more than Bonds.

WOW! What a win last night! We had a surge from our bats for everybody. Don D. didn't even need to hit. And can you believe this...I hit a Homerun! (in the park of course). I couldn't believe I could hit it that far! Well we did win the game and glory be to God!

On a personal note I am very pleased how the league is this year. We get excited and want to win but it doesn't feel cut throat the way it used to. So thanks to everyone and thier good attitudes towards playing the right way!

This past week two professional baseball players talked about the lack of African-American players in Major League Baseball.

Here is what Gary Sheffield had to say:

"I called it years ago. What I called is that you're going to see more black faces, but there ain't no English going to be coming out. … [It's about] being able to tell [Latin players] what to do -- being able to control them," he told the magazine.
"Where I'm from, you can't control us. You might get a guy to do it that way for a while because he wants to benefit, but in the end, he is going to go back to being who he is. And that's a person that you're going to talk to with respect, you're going to talk to like a man.
"These are the things my race demands. So, if you're equally good as this Latin player, guess who's going to get sent home? I know a lot of players that are home now can outplay a lot of these guys."

Here is a rebuttal to what Sheffield said by Torii Hunter:

"You go over to Latin America and you could buy a guy for $5,000. That’s the same guy from Compton, who you get in first round for a million dollars out of high school.

I think that it’s a business thing, not a race thing. Because it happens to African Americans, then it becomes a racial thing. I do agree that 10 years from now you are going to see no blacks (in MLB)."

Now lets focus on the TRUE summer classic BASEBALL! Gotta love this guys swing. I also like the Tigers since they are home team but they need to get there bullpen straighten up.

For the Tiger Purist out there....What do you think about moving Robertson to the closer position and calling up Miller to take his spot in the rotation. Then you need to have your set-up man be Ledezma for now until Zumaya gets back and trade/get rid of Jones and Mesa.

Well now that the non-caring Pistons are out of the playoffs and will continue to watch in amazement(now from there homes). The Spurs are the new Bad Boys now and they will not watch him go to the basket like the paid-off pistons did. The Spurs will foul the crap out of him and the only guy to get suspended for it will be Horry and LeBron just like the Suns vs. Spurs series. I apologize for being a bit negetive here but if the Cavs were aloud to breeze through to the finals to boost the NBA Finals Ratings then it should have been the Suns vs. Pistons this year if they wanted to boost ratings. The more I watch the NBA the more I begin to wonder if it's scripted like the WWE. Can't wait to see what the Pistons do to reload but even if they do something tremendous I think I will be watching the college game more than the professional game, Mr. Stern.
